When I was younger, I played tennis and softball all year round, both as a member of my high school varsity teams, local community teams, and on travel teams. I also participated in USTA tennis tournaments and in junior Olympic softball tournaments. In college, I played several seasons for the women's fast-pitch softball club, where we regularly played Division II and III teams. After I graduated, I began long-distance running and participated in several triathlons and duathlons, making many sporty friends along the way. I was a USA Triathlon ranked athlete for several years. While in graduate school, I played for the UCSC astronomy and astrophysics intramural softball team, "The Big Bangers." I'm also a big fan of the BOB Revolution SE (which I used until my daughter was about 6!), YogaVibes, yoga teacher Rolf Gates, My Vinyasa Practice, and LesMills on-demand.
